I'm please to announced that I will be chairing the Northern Virginia Technology Council Business Development, Marketing and Sales Committee as of June 1, 2017. The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is the membership and trade association for the technology community in Northern Virginia. As the largest technology council in the nation, NVTC serves about 1,000 companies from all sectors of the technology industry, as well as service providers, universities, foreign embassies, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. Through its member companies, NVTC represents about 300,000 employees in the region.
While you probably think of Silicon Valley and the Boston Rte. 28 corridor as technology hubs, did you know that up to 70% of global internet traffic goes through Northern Virginia? Northern Virginia has a thriving technology community ranging from commercial companies like Rosetta Stone, ComScore and Airbus North America to government contractors like Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. We also have a thriving startup and small business tech community.
Our committee will be presenting monthly thought leadership sessions designed to help the technology community sell and market more efficiently. We will also be posting content to the NVTC blog regularly.
If you're in the Washington, DC area, we encourage you to join the NVTC and come to our presentations. You don't need to be a member to attend our sessions, but there are many great reasons to join the NVTC.
