10 Ways To Make Your Inbound Marketing More Visual in 2017

New Call-to-action

The Content Marketing Institute's 2016 B2B Content Marketing Report  found that 51% of B2B marketers placed a priority on creating visual content in 2016. I can only imagine that this trend will increase in 2017. In our company, creating more visual content is our number one content marketing priority for 2017 - both internally and for our clients.

The reason is simple - people retain information presented visually much better than information presented verbally. The Weiss-McGrath study showed that video content (combination of visual and oral presentation) is 6.5 times more effective than oral presentation in terms of how the audience retains the message. In a content marketing study by HubSpot, 43% of consumers said they wanted to see more video content in 2016. So why not give the people what they want?

While video is important, it's not the only form of visual marketing you should be using in your inbound marketing efforts. Infographics, charts, images and icons all make your content more consumable.

While we have a way to go, look for more visual marketing from us in 2017. We're teaming with our design partners to really step up our visual marketing game. Here are some thoughts on how you can make your inbound marketing more visual in 2017.
